But, what I also do is ask you for more than a brief. Sometimes what you want isn’t what you need—I know that’s been said a million times but, with branding, it’s so easy to forget. I’m friendly and kind, but I’ll also dish you some northern honesty when it’s needed.
I set up North Story Studio to focus on brand identity and website design for small, indie businesses. I want to support people who are just starting out, and make brilliant design accessible and affordable.
I’ll provide the toolkit for you to grow your own brand, whilst offering friendship and support as you begin, or continue your business journey.
I also work with large businesses and organisations on all kinds of different projects—big and small. I love this variety—it brings fresh challenges to my work-from-home life and I’m grateful for that!

I’m a designer, sure, I’m creative—but not just at the nice stuff. I come up with creative solutions to your problems. If you’re feeling brave or you’d prefer quiet guidance, I’ll make room for it. I’m here for the good times and for the wobbles.
Transformative
Brand design is transformative—visually, yep, but let’s not neglect the tremendous power your brand has to transform you, and in turn, shape your business. Running this brand has transformed me, and I’m here to chat about that.
Authentic
Speaking your truth and presenting yourself authentically isn’t an easy thing to do. Sometimes others can see it while you’re lost in the woods, so in this way, I aim to get to the root of things and help give clarity and direction.
