LCVS Enterprises

Story

LCVS Enterprises offers affordable workspace across 2 different premises in Leeds city centre. They converted and refurbished the former industrial buildings and now manage and let them to small businesses of Leeds!

Their aim is to encourage the growth of start-up enterprises and manufacturers, to improve the economic and social health of the area and to alleviate the problem of a lack of affordable workspaces.

The company is run by a board of directors who give their time voluntarily. Any profits accrued go back into the buildings and provision.

LCVS had quite a dated website which was very hard for them to maintain. They also had no real brand to speak of. They were desperate for a modern identity and, most importantly, a website that was mobile friendly, easy to update and affordable.

Result

The logo forms part of a simple identity for LCVS that reflects its history and heritage. It has a feel of craft and industry about it. The warm tones of the colour palette were picked to emulate the recognisible red-brick buildings they lovingly manage.

These buildings are more than just office spaces—they are community hubs, studios where ideas are formed, where friends are made and where everyday hard work gets done, as the businesses within grow and develop.

To assist this culture of community, LCVS wanted to add a directory of all the businesses in the building to their new website. This not only gives a little shout out to their residents, but will help to attract new, creative entrepreneurs to the buildings.

We also included a new streamlined application form to the site. Previously, applications were being emailed, printed and posted, which was proving inefficient!
